About War Paint Kennels and Stables

War Paint Kennels LLC was formed from an unmatched love for the sport of big game hunting with dogs. The three Partners: Forrest, Jerry, and Brock Parker have spent their entire lives around the sport and have dedicated themselves to the dogs that make it possible. Recently, the three collaborated to develop a plan that will allow War Paint Kennels to continue to grow and hopefully become a household name in the bear and hog dog world within a very short time. Forrest Parker

Since he was old enough to get around, Forrest Parker has been involved in hunting. As with all of the family, he began chasing dogs with his dad and uncles. Early on, most of this was on a lazy horse (to keep the grown ups from having to carry him around) following a squirrel dog. By the age of 10, Forrest was helping handle hounds and had already harvested 10-15 bears himself. The love for the dogs and sport continued to grow throughout his teenage and young adult life. He, along with all of the family, has consistently kept the kind of dogs that get the job done right. He has proven his dedication to quality and performance standards in the sport. In the last few years, Forrest has transferred a lot of his energy to hog hunting and handling a top kennel of bay dogs. The adrenaline rush of catching and tying big boar hogs alive seems to keep him busy these days. At the ripe age of 28, he has hunted in over 20 states and 3 countries, most with the aide of man's best friend. Forrest manages the bay dog kennels in Cherokee, NC along with all sales, marketing, video production, and financial operations of War Paint Kennels LLC. Producing action packed videos has been a lifelong dream for Forrest and War Paint Kennels, LLC will most certainly benefit from this. His motivation and passion for the sport brings much life to the already energized world of hunting with dogs.

Jerry Parker

Mr. Jerry Parker is known throughout the big game hound world as a dedicated houndsman who consistently produces stand out performance dogs that are desired by bear hunters across the country. A paragraph alone could not begin to encompass the achievements and successes Jerry has been blessed with in the sport. Hounds have been his love for his entire life (along with the occasional top squirrel dog). Jerry has hunted bears in every state that has a season. For over 20 years, he has outfitted and guided in over 4 states. He is a Registered Professional Maine Guide. He trains and hunts hounds 5-6 days a week, year round. Jerry manages the hound side of the company along with our North Georgia Lodge and Stables. He is the backbone to our outfitting and guiding activities. His attention to detail and performance standards have allowed him to make a special mark in the business. His patience and ability to pick out the "Super Stars" at very young ages are a big part of the success. Jerry will also be coordinating all hunting locations and participants for the Bear hunting video to be released in 2009.

Brock Parker

Being the son of Jerry Parker, Brock "Slow Bull" (as named by our Apache friends in New Mexico) had no choice but to be exposed to big game hunting with hounds from very early on. Brock has been involved in more hunting with hounds at the age of 26, than most adult dog men. Like the rest of the trio, he has spent a lot of time chasing dogs in many states. As a 4 time factory sponsored GNCC National Champion in cross country ATV racing, Brock is comfortable at the "Big Show" and brings tons of life and energy to our operations. This is especially evident in our video production work and marketing campaign. He works with Forrest on a daily basis to manage typical company activities and travels with the cameras on all video work. Brock can always be counted on to add life to the party.

Affiliations & Memberships

Forrest, Brock, and Jerry are all three Enrolled Members of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. WPK is a minority owed company that takes great pride in being such. This Tribal affiliation allows for many opportunities that are not available otherwise. As members of a federally recognized Tribe, the three have access to hundreds of thousands of acres of Tribal lands and other private property held by affiliate Tribes.
