Guided Bear Hunts

Having a Master Houndsman like Jerry Parker as a family member of the War Paint Team affords us some unbelievable bear hunting opportunities. A Licensed Maine Master Guide, Jerry outfitted nearly full-time for over 25 years. After a very short retirement to hunt for himself and train dogs, we have forced him to step back into the ring on a limited basis. Offering only a few limited hunts outside of our home state of NC, we will be booking a few camps in Maine beginning in 2010. Our NC hunts can be extremely challenging and require clients to be physically capable. They are very rewarding, but can test one’s fortitude to the max. There is no better scenery than the Mountains of Western NC during the fall. As always, we have tons of fun and most years deliver great success.

Bear Hunt Prices

North Carolina Fall Bear Hunt: $1,500

Maine Fall Bear Hunt: $2,500

All hunts are typically 5 days and include lodging, transportation during hunt, skinning and quartering, etc

Not included in bear hunt price: Meals, License & tags, tips, airport pickup

Prepared meals can be arranged for additional fees.

Guided Hog Hunts

War Paint Adventures is exited to offer the best hog hunting in the South. As always, we do this on a very limited basis, as the quality of the experience is an aspect we refuse to compromise. Our hog hunts are action packed and a true testament to our personalities and the War Paint reputation.

We have over 7,000 acres of prime country near beautiful Calhoun falls South Carolina, including a 230 Acre management area that is home to some absolute bruisers! We also have the opportunity to offer very limited hunts throughout south Georgia, which can be some of the most action-packed unbelievable hog hunting you will see anywhere in the country.

The lodging is bunkhouse style and very comfortable. If you know us, you will also know that we eat right, no matter what. Thus, you can be sure that the food will be great!

It is our mission to offer an experience, not just a kill. We want our clients to see what separates us from most outfits. We do this because it is our passion, not our way of making a living. Our Team will do everything within its power (and anyone else’s we can borrow) to make sure you get all you can out of a trip with us. We have great hogs and are a fun bunch of honest people. On any adventure with us, you will find the War Paint Team having as much fun as you are.

Our hog hunt prices are as follows:

Still/Stand Hunting

$150/day, includes meals and lodging

Dog Hunting (Knife/Spear, or Catch and Tie)

$200/day, includes meals and lodging

Trophy Fees

$1.50/lb, first hog

$1.25/lb, second hog

On dog hunts where the client chooses to tie the hog(s) alive, there will be a $50 fee per hog caught.

Whitetail doe management hunts can be arranged in addition to hog hunt, or independently for $250/day.

Additional Info

We will offer a 10% discount to Military Veterans/Law Enforcement

Children 14 and under hunt for ½ price when accompanied by a paying adult

While hunting management area, any hog wounded and not recovered will result in $200 fee

A $250/person deposit is required to hold dates for hog hunting and a 50% deposit is required for bear hunts. If for any reason client does not exhaust deposit amount during hunt, a refund will be issued for remaining amount.

Airport Pickup can be arranged from Atlanta GA, Greenville SC, or Asheville NC for $75
